Maura is originally from Boston, Massachusetts area and moved to Jamaica In 2007. She has always had a love for Jamaica since the mid 80s and started her career In the
travel business. She co owned a successful Travel Agency franchise and booked several group tours to Jamaica. From college groups to Destination wedding to incentive travel.
She is still in the travel business but also in the real estate business and is licensed in USA and in Jamaica. She loves selling Jamaican properties and enjoys being able to sell clients there dream villa or beach condo. She has sold many properties from hotels, condos, villa, and land developments and has been awarded with top seller from companies she has worked with.
Her other love is reggae music and she has discovered that Jamaica has so much talent that is undiscovered due to lack of funds or guidance. She had come up with this idea of the J Factor to help talented musicians around the globe get discovered in an affordable grassroots manner and by uploading a video to YouTube and have them join the j Factor platform and have the world vote on the top talent .
One of her favorite songs is I got You Babe by Sonny and Cher and especially loves the remake reggae beat by Ub40.
She was blown away when she heard the young 14 year old girl sing Adeles Hello in a reggae rendition with Chonkera.
She recently met Safaree on a video shot location that she arranged and she pitched her idea and he loved it. Safaree is a producer and was born in Jamaica. Safaree has an amazing personality and awesome talent. Safaree has agreed to be a part of this vision and will be the spokesperson and the winner will get the great privilege of being produced by Safaree. Safaree has produced many artists and one of his first major discoveries is Nicki Manaj.
With the encouragement of her three children Emma 20, and twins Preston and Sydney 17 years old she has decided to take the plunge and go for it. Her children feel it will be a success and with social media today we can get the word out quickly. They have agreed to help her as well.
Stay tuned for more exciting news about the brand new J Factor, #Jam I Can,
